Elegance is not short
of being represented in the Grand World. The place covers an impressive 6537
square meters of land and it was rebuilt in 1924 in which the artist
responsible for the job did everything possible to create the masterpiece which
stands presently. The contractor was able to blend different aspects of the
western and Chinese cultures and styles and what stands today is just out of
this world. The theatres and stores are classical and westernized while the
interior of the place is structured with a native Chinese feel to it and it is
more than beautiful in every sense of the word.
One can also get to
enjoy the magic mirrors and a wide and spacious lobby which has columns that
have been decorated to suit the Chinese touch. One can get to view the whole
idea of a grand open air theatre on the ground floor. The aspect of having
concert halls and arenas is also captured and people can get to enjoy all of
these features with a simple tour of the place. The Shanghai style is present
in almost all of the features of the Grand World and this makes sure that
people who are visiting get to have a total feel of what the Chinese culture
and way of life is all about.
Branded as the world’s
best Amusement City, people can reach the place through taking the bus routes 71,
202, 17, 18 and 23. The Grand world has a history of 80 years and more and one
cannot give up the chance of visiting the place. The admission fee for the
place is RMB5 and it is quite an equitable price compared to the fun that a
person will be in line to enjoy. The place opens from 9.00am to 21.00pm.
